Why do I wear RED?
Because RED symbolizes women’s freedom, in a world that is afraid of women’s freedom.
When a woman gets married she wears white.
She is told to be pure. chaste. obedient. clean. A good girl. And a good mother.
I wear RED to honor the parts of myself that aren’t white.
I wear RED to remember my sisters who were burned for being witches.
I wear RED to remember the Priestesses who spoke for Sacred Sex.
I wear RED to support every girls first blood.
I wear RED to claim back all female genital mutilations.
I wear RED to FUCK with the patriarchy that has created models of connection based on disconnection, fear and competition.
I wear RED to liberate women’s voices when they were suppressed by violence and shame.
When all women wear RED the world we know will crumble. And a new world will rise.
