Songs from the Sirens

A word for orgasm in French is
“La Petite Mort,”
which means the Little Death.
The mythological Sirens never lured men to their deaths.
They sang songs to remind men of pleasure~
and intoxicated them with love making.
Being lured off their ship’s charted course,
made the men feel out of control.
And In a shift to GOD, from the Goddess,
men chose disconnection and domination in order to gain power.

In the Burning Times, the Sirens took the form of Muses.
They were the writers of songs, the embodiment of sexual wisdom, the Herbalists, the midwives and the artists.
Just as a Siren’s song cannot be silenced.
A muses inspiration cannot be stopped.
These women were the first to be Burned.
They endured the most horrific tortures,
from men ashamed of their own desires.

Today, women play out our HERstory.
We remember when women were seen as the Divine Mother.
We remember when we were Priestesses and when we were Whores.
We remember being Medicine Women. We remember being Temple Dancers. We remember being midwives of Birth and Death.
We remember the good times.
We remember the bad times.
And we will never forget.

For those of us who Remember being burned at the stake for our power –
And so- attract being burned for our power in this life too.
I think it’s time for us to forgive.
I believe in a paradigm shift.
I believe in the Divine Feminine Rising
