]]>Slowly, the body will seal itself. But this takes time.
The postpartum sealing ceremony facilitates this process of grounding.
It also protects the energy field so that unwanted energy
cannot enter during this time.
THE PROCESS
CLOSE HER
Postpartum sealing care is honored as an essential part of the birth healing process, and it is utilized in the Middle East, Latin America, India and Africa…
My techniques combine Middle Eastern traditions, Indian traditions, and Latin American traditions~ especially attributed to Guatemala.
I often incorporate abdominal massage, breast massage, yoni ateaming, sitz bath or herbal bath, and abhyanga (warm oil massage.)
We close our session with Belly Binding which helps the uterus come back to its pre-pregnancy position.
It also helps your energy field stabilize itself.
The entire ritual is a very nurturing process that supports you emotionally, physically, psychologically and spiritually.
Every Sealing Ceremony is different, because every woman is different.
I am happy to co-create a sealing ceremony that is right for you.
Below is a step by step itinerary that is possible for your sealing ceremony.
Set aside 2-3 hours for our process.
You may want your romantic partner / close friend / or family member to participate.
At various times you are welcome to bring in your baby so you may connect and breastfeed.
1. Tell me your Birth Story. Tell me your desires.
We can make tea and I will listen.
2. We’ll set up a warm bath for you with oils and epsom salts.
We can bless the salts together, or maybe you already have blessed salts from your Blessing Way Ceremony!
* click here to learn how I help you with your Blessing Way *
We’ll smudge the space with Mugwort, to invoke the Goddess Diana-
Mother of the Wild, protector of childbirth, and a guardian who keeps the spirits away.
3. Then we’ll prepare for your postpatum style Abhyanga Massage.
I’ll warm up some sesame oil infused with mugwort, rose petals and yarrow. Herbal protectors, sealers, and heart openers.
I’ll soak cloth pads with the warm oil, and put them on your root, womb, heart and third eye. I’ll give you a scalp massage and seal in your crown.
I’ll also rub sesame oil and essential oils on your belly, your breasts, and your feet.
I may use mayan abdominal massage techniques, taoist breast massage… but most importantly I’ll read your body for guidance.
4. Then, we’ll “Close the Bones.”
This is a process of wrapping you in a cocoon to bring your organs and your energetic body back home.
You will stay here, imagining yourself- coming back to yourself.
Then you are released, only to be wrapped again!
This time with your Belly Bind.
6. After your process we may drink more tea, or eat bone broth.
We may share more stories or you will take a nap and rest!
7. ” Mother Warming” : YONI STEAMING and MOXA
You may desire to add Yoni Steaming to your process.
Or, you may desire to include Moxa.
https://www.steamychick.com/blog/vaginal-steaming-after-birth-is-the-timehonored-standard-for-postpartum-care-/
Both of these services warm the womb and facilitate healing.
I am happy to include ceremony utilizing the herbs. I’ll be here as you emotionally release, and we will do ritual to further shed the old and claim the new.
I often recommend that we do the yoni steaming and moxa at our next session.
(It’ll be a very long day if we try to do it all!
However this is your ceremony, and I’ll support whatever combination of care you desire.)
When we meet again I’ll teach you to do you self-belly massage and breast massage.
Typically, it is recommended that postpartum care lasts 40 days.
When you learn how to take care of yourself, you can make the time to nurture yourself every day.

]]>I worked at an
Eating Disorder Residential Treatment Center,
& I wanted to tell the women that they aren’t broken.
The reason they hurt so much inside,
is because the world hurts so much outside.
When they self harm,
they are doing so because they feel the pain of the world within them.
Nothing is truly outside of us.
~~✫
They are sensitive. perceptive.
But fearful.
They are trying to protect themselves by
controlling the few things they can control.
When they are pretty, they are safe.
When portions are rationed &
food is… gluten free, vegetarian or paleo, lactose free, fat free, sugar free, and raw
nothing can harm them.
~~✫
Food is a reflection of how we connect to the mother.
How we nourish ourself-
correlates to our connection to the Earth (Mother).
How we breast fed as a child.
The amount of safety we felt in the world when we were young.
When these women learn to believe in themselves,
they will break the matrix of illusions around them.
They are the shamans of our time.
The Seers and the feelers.
They are on their Hero’s journey,
and every hero must partake in it.
Our Darkness is something Sacred.
~~✫
Women, particularly, have learned through menstruation that life is cyclical.
We ovulate and we menstruate.
There is dark and there is light.
We bleed so that we may create life.
The pain opens us so that we may find our truth.
This time of pain, is momentary.
It is about learning what it means to be human on this planet.
And it is part of their journey to switch from victim, to Priestess.
~~✫
I don’t know what to do,
when the psychiatrists have the power and they say the opposite of what I know.
Each woman is sedated with five or more different medications. Their side effects are causing many of them to shake.
They are trying their best to be good and to be agreeable and fit in.
Because if they don’t, they’ll be kicked out.
And no one in the mainstream world wants to be around a broken person.
….
I don’t know what to do when they are being force-fed food and they are told that their problem is discipline.
Even though they are under 100 pounds, it’s the discipline to eat things like Oreos and Pop Tarts without being triggered–
That means that they are OK.
No matter what the food is, Discipline is not their problem.
What they need is nurturance.
They need pleasure.
They need to trust their intuition.
They need to connect with the food we eat –
as it comes from the Earth Mother,
to heal the wounded mother.
They need to know they are not broken.
They are on the journey to becoming Shamans.
~~✫
But if I told them that-
I would be contradicting what the therapists are saying,
and I would be fired.
So,
I Quit.
Because their pain felt like knives.
I’m going to do the best I can in this world–
by writing my perspective. And sharing what I think healing is.
Maybe one day they’ll see what I wrote,
And we can sit down and have a conversation.
I’m sending my love to all the sensitive beings on this planet.
May we share what we’ve learned.

]]>LISTEN TO THE PODCAST! 🙂
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why do women become depressed after giving birth?
Why do women get mastitis or oral thrush?
Why are there women who have hyperemesis in pregnancy?
Is there meaning to this madness? Is our body trying to tell us something?
I believe our body is a compass.
When it gets sick, it’s often doing so to clear something deep within us.
~~~
I’d like to tell you a couple stories….
A friend of mine came over a few days ago with her baby.
After giving birth, she had the WORST mastitis and oral thrush.
And, she had a fever for six weeks.
Louise Hay is a Medical Intuitive, who channels the emotional reasons for illness.
Breast reflects our ability (or inability) to feel safe in connection with others.
Thrush represents pent up anger and resentment.
& mastitis represents putting everyone else first, with a refusal to nurture the self.
For my friend, it seems that her newborn child brought up her own fears around giving and receiving.
The physical pain is a good thing!
It means that the old emotional pain, that’s been hiding deep down,
is actually moving to the surface.
Once it “pops” the physical pain will lessen and she will feel clearer- in all ways.
When her emotional baggage is clearer, she can be the mother she wants to be.
~~
Another thing….
She had a fever.
Fevers happen when the body is cutting energy cords.
Energy cords are old attachments that, in my friend’s case, are no longer useful.
Birth is a portal!
And my friend’s fever, was helping her cut away her old self.
It was a transmutation process~ shedding the old so she can claim the new.
~~
Ok. Next story.
One of my best friends has five babies. With each child she is diagnosed with hyperemesis.
Hyperemesis happens when a woman has severe sickness in pregnancy.
She cannot eat and can only drink through an IV drip.
Often she is hospitalized.
But! My friend has been sick her whole life.
A few years before she had her first baby she was diagnosed with cervical cancer.
(Which she cured through alternative methods.)
While she is pregnant,
my friend believes that her babies – are purging her of the toxins that are already inside her.
While she feels sick, she prays and finds gratitude for the journey toward healing.
~~
I tell these stories to help us change our frame of mind around illness.
I believe our bodies are not out to get us.
The pain is asking us to turn our attention toward our insides.
Through the process of healing our sickness– we can transform.

]]>That is…
if pleasure can be taught, I want to be the one to facilitate it!
SACRED SENSATIONS
TANTALIZING TASTES
ORGASMIC EXPRESSIONS
RADICAL EMBODIMENT
I’m here to help us~ reconnect to the juiciness of this life.
In our culture, pleasure isn’t celebrated.
In fact, it’s taboo to enjoy our body.
But its enjoying our bodies,
that heals our bodies!
YES!!!
….
OOoooo!…
I’m so tired of listening to my friends tell me about
their strict fasts and their sexual celibacies.
I assume they believe-
that if they control their body’s desires,
they will be….
thinner, cleaner, more approvable? More lovable? Safe.
Because that’s the only thing that makes sense…. Right?!
Let me tell you,
Restriction does not lead to vibrant health.
Orgasms lead to vibrant health.
DANCING
SINGING
PAINTING
Days in the sunshine.
Play dates with friends.
SAVORING GREAT FOOD!
Touching it, smelling it, enjoying it.
&
Have SEX!
It’s good for you.
If you don’t have a partner, learn to have sex with yourself.
BECAUSE,
Pleasure IS why we are here.
& If you don’t feel comfortable living a life that revolves around pleasure,
Then you aren’t living.

Breasts:
Our love. Our ability to connect with others. Our ability to nurture.
Belly:
Our authenticity. Our truth. Our ability to reveal ourselves to others.
Womb:
“The Divine Gateway.” Our connection to the cycles and rhythms of life.
Our ability to embrace our own femininity.
~~~
When these three body parts are healthy, they keep a woman vibrant!
When they are neglected,
She becomes sick.
She feels mentally unstable
& her sexual life force dwindles.
~~~
In our culture, it’s normal to neglect breast care, belly care and womb care.
Instead, our doctors prescribe hormone balancers and mood stabilizers…
or laxatives and birth control pills…
There are alternatives to this.
